Our client is one of the world's leading providers of management consultancy services for management consulting, technology services and outsourcing company, and is currently inviting potential individual to fill-in the following position: Data Centre Technology & Operations Consultant.
Responsibilities:
- Driving, supervising and reviewing technology diagnosis and assessment activities
- Identifying opportunities for technology-related improvement based on benchmark data and doing high-level cost benefit analysis
- Developing a high level design which supports a robust technology solution, taking into account the user requirements, technical requirements, etc.
- Driving technology architecture and infrastructure design activities
- Reviewing and supervising design components
- Developing design and transition approaches
- Driving and supervising technology build, test and deployment activities
- Troubleshooting, diagnosing, and supporting application development
Requirements:
- Experience in Infrastructure Planning and Transformation, Mobility, Messaging, Desktop Management, Command Centre and Customer Support, Database Technologies, Data Centre Consolidation, Servers, Storage, Infrastructure Strategy, Assessment and Management, Storage Consolidation, Server Consolidation, Database Conversion, Availability Management (HP, Mercury, BMC, CA, IBM, Veritas), Capacity Management, Automated Provisioning, Business Service Management (BSM), Service Level Management, Service Catalog, Problem Management, IT Help Desk/Service Desk (Peregrine, BMC Remedy, Siebel, HP, CA), Change Management, Release Management, Configuration Management, IT Service Continuity, IT Asset Management, Autodiscovery, Operations Maturity Model (OMM) Assessment
- Ability to meet travel requirements, when applicable
- Minimum 4 years of relevant working experience
- Good University Degree
- Proven success in contributing to a team-oriented environment
- Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
- Desire to work in an information systems environment
- Excellent leadership, communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
